PAST
Le Corbusier, the most famous architect, urban planner and writer of the 20th century, was a radical and leading general of the modern architecture movement, a major advocate of modernist architecture, and an important founder of machine aesthetics. He was known as the "standard bearer of modern architecture" and the master of functionalist architecture, known as the "father of functionalism".
The LC4 recliner, known as the super "comfort machine," was created in 1928 under the direction of the Swiss Designer Le Corbusier. Every angle provides the best support for the human body, and every detail provides the pleasure of rest. Created a perfect balance between geometry and ergonomics, focusing on the human figure, the connection between form and function is reflected in the balance between geometric purity and ergonomic intent.
As an important structural material in modern furniture products, seamless steel pipe technology began in the late 19th century. Bauhaus designers began using this material to make steel pipe chairs in the 1930s. Steel pipe chairs are lightweight and strong, and at the same time show a strong modern atmosphere, creating a novel and lightweight furniture aesthetic.
TO NOW
Today, under the PAST TO NOW brand, we are pursuing the ultimate and designing a new recliner product -- the flying carpet recliner.
Not only does it use the same seamless steel tube processing technology as the support structure, but also uses modern polymer materials as the main support of the chair. The seat surface design of the chair takes into account ergonomic principles, conforms to the human body curve, and can fit well with the human body. This design not only provides a more comfortable lying and sitting position, but also makes the chair look lighter and thinner.
